Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) – Physical Properties

Properties:
HPMC is soluble in water and certain organic solvents, such as ethanol, propyl alcohol, and ethylene chloride. Its aqueous solution exhibits surface activity and acts as a nonionic surfactant. Gelation temperature varies by grade; for example, in 60RT HPMC, the "60" indicates the gelation temperature, meaning a 2% aqueous solution will form a gel at 60 °C.
Applications
HPMC is an important pharmaceutical excipient, used in tablet and granule coating, granulation, and the controlled release of active ingredients. Beyond pharmaceuticals, it is also applied in PVC production, construction materials, the food industry, and personal care products.

The product is packed in fiber drums with a polyethylene liner, each with a net weight of 25 kg. Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and rain.
